When I started in this industry in 1977 it was due to a single bottle of wine ('69 Dom.
Dujac Morey St.Denis). I had never tasted anything like it before especially texture wise. I've
been
buying and selling wine ever since.I've worked primarily in retail as I love to work
directly
with the consumer. My experience over the last 25 years or so has been primarily with San
Francisco Wine & Spirits (8 years), Whole Foods in San Rafael (8 years) and Mollie Stones Market in Greenbrae (6 years). All positions consisted of buying, selling, merchandising and
inventory control. All of these outlets were multiple million dollars in sales and I was fully
responsible for all aspects including invoices and statements.
I, still after all these years, have great passion for fine wine espcially value wise. I know
exactly how and where to find these values as I have excellent relationships with the
wholesale venders who search me out when they come upon special deals. I have a very loyal
clientele that depend on me for wine advice and even ask me to their houses for small
intimate seminars with their friends (a lot of fun and sales).
